To know how many documents are present in the repository you can use the nxshell repostats command.

This command will browse all the repository and display:

The total number of documents takes into account:

  • the root of document (never displayed on the ui)
  • hidden documents
  • proxies
  • documents marked as deleted (still present in the trash tab)
  • all documents including comments

This total does not count version documents.

Using NXQL you can search and count versions like this:

To find the number of proxies:

You can use the nxshell command line tool to perform these queries.

If you use the advanced search page, the result will be filtered depending on your access rights, for instance even the Administrator account don't have access to the personal user workspaces.

Nuxeo DM 5.3.0 and later come with an enhanced repostats that counts versions and proxies, the select command has also been improved. See http://jira.nuxeo.org/browse/NXP-4177.
