Describe the company mission and goals.

Nuxeo's mission: Help organizations better manage their information by providing a flexible and open software platform for content management applications.
Nuxeo focuses on the needs of developers. We take a software engineering approach to content management problems in order to solve the hard problems. Developers and architects can be assured that their selection of Nuxeo to build ECM applications helps them solve business challenges with more efficiency and agility.
Nuxeo provides an open source technical platform and an integrated set of services to ease its configuration, customization and deployment. We provide a fully integrated experience: a development tool, a distribution channel (Marketplace), an update system (Update Center) and associated support (Nuxeo Connect).

Nuxeo wants to provide a new experience for customers acquiring enterprise content management applications. We are removing the complexity and hassle that is common in traditional ECM deals. We seek to align the value that we deliver to our customers with the revenue that we make with support and maintenance services. We are a support and services driven organization, leveraging great products and technology.

Nuxeo is a commercial entity with a goal to be profitable for our shareholders, like our competitors using proprietary or mixed license models. The difference is that we don't derive our revenue from license fees. We derive revenue from maintenance and support sold as subscriptions through the Nuxeo Connect offering. This pure focus on satisfaction levels, maintenance renewals and delivery of quality services keeps us entirely customer and partner-centric.

The development of our products is entirely open: the source code, the documentation, builds, testing and issue tracking, community discussion. Our transparent model assures future-proofing of the product lifecycle, as the market for Nuxeo technologies can continue because of its broad adoption and expertise outside of the company. In the merger and acquisition prone ECM industry, our model ensures that the products can continue to thrive, evolve and be professionally supported, an extra level of protection and assurance for our customers and partners.

What is your company vision for the enterprise content management market?

The Nuxeo Platform is our gift to 21st century enterprises who are serious about getting content management embedded into their end to end business practices. Nuxeo believes that the traditional ECM vendor approach to software development, architectural design have been obsoleted by 21st century information revolution.

Created by developers, for developers, Nuxeo is on the forefront of the next generation of content management architectures by offering a new approach to content management. Focusing on technical innovation, commitment to standards, and addressing the needs of developers and architects, Nuxeo offers a platform on which to build repeatable, easily administered, easily upgraded, interoperable content management solutions to solve real business problems.

Nuxeo has adopted an open development model in order to let organizations get started on their content management application projects quickly, without waiting for vendor permission for evaluation licenses. Organizations can grow and scale their apps without being penalized for adding more users, or servers; companies can take greater control of their own ECM roadmap and future-proof their investment from the whims of the merger-and-acquisition driven technology industry; open standards paired with open source, easy to find detailed technical documentation, with no proprietary scripting languages or repositories, ever.
