Open source databases

In a nutshell, you're strongly encouraged to use the latest version of PostgreSQL (at this time, 9.0.1) for your production Nuxeo servers. While you have the freedom to use MySQL, MySQL has a number of known issues; therefore we seriously recommend PostgreSQL.

Commercial databases

Nuxeo currently supports Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. See Administration (database-related) for more information on how to set them up.

Support for additional commercial databases may be added in the future, depending on customer demandSee the backend section of the Requirements page in the Installation and Administration Guide.
